Jaws 3 D is totally worth the price of admission and since I had literally not seen it since it’s debut (age 12), I was skeptical about how good it would be. Certainly 3D helped, but the acting performances by the three male leads stand the test of time.
Scene 1: Roy Scheider (two time Oscar nominee for All That Jazz, The French Connection) and his son at the dinner table, son mimicking his tormented Dad, Roy catching on and asking for a kiss: Precious!
Scene 2: Richard Dreyfuss (Oscar winner for The Goodbye Girl) and Robert Shaw (wow 10 children, he has even Baldwin beat! and an Oscar nomination: A Man for All Seasons) going a scar to scar competition which leads into Shaw’s war story monologue: Mesmerizing!
Scene 3: The multiple boat scenes seemed realistic, even by today’s standards: Impressive.
Go see it and then stay out of the water:)
